What is covered under the Replacement Parts Warranty?

 

Honda Australia warrants to customers that all Genuine Honda Replacement Parts which are purchased from Honda Centres will be free from defects in workmanship or material for a period of 12 months from the date of the initial purchase of the Genuine Honda Replacement Part, provided that the part is fitted only to the motor vehicle for which it was intended by Honda Motor or Honda Australia.

 

If a Genuine Honda Replacement Part has been fitted to a vehicle which has not been distributed or supplied by Honda Australia (including, for example, Rover Quintet, Rover 416i and Japanese local market vehicles which were privately imported into Australia) then this Replacement Parts Warranty will not apply. However, the customer may still have rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

 

What is not covered under the Replacement Parts Warranty?

Any Genuine Honda Replacement Part which is fitted to a motor vehicle, while that vehicle is within the Honda New Vehicle Warranty term (or other Honda extended warranty term), will be warranted for the later of (a) the unexpired period of that vehicle’s warranty term or (b) 12 months from the date of the initial purchase of the Genuine Honda Replacement Part.

 

If Parts are replaced under the Replacement Parts Warranty at no cost to the customer, and the replacement part or parts fail after the expiry of any Honda Warranty, any subsequent replacement of those parts will not be covered by this Replacement Parts Warranty. However, the customer may still have rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
